So, I just saw the movie Tron Legacy (and, for those of you who are in the know, Gol modelled the FL 9.8 Beta splash screen after the data discs from the movie). The movie was really awesome on one thing, its score by Daft Punk.
That said, one song in particular stuck out to me, particularly due to its lead. Now I'm really good at many types of synthesis, so that's not the problem. The problem is, I try to recreate the lead...
Not the notes, but rather how they did that. Each time, I end up missing the mark. SO, here's my question. Does anybody know how this lead was made and what effects are possibly used to create it (besides a phaser/flanger and reverb, obviously)?
If not, at the very least, can you guys discuss some unconventional effects techniques that could expand my horizons so I can get close to this sound? Thanks in advance.
