To fault a dnb track for not enough vocals is just like saying that an ambient track doesn't have enough beats. With the exception of "dj? acucrack", dnb doesn't use "traditional" vocals.Scott wrote: It's good, but the judges felt that there was too much music and not enough of Veela and what was there was too recessed/quiet/simple

If you take all 3 remix comps together, 80% of the top 10 entries are dance/house/club or related genre's. I guess that's the judges preference? Can you actually objectively access the merits of another genre you don't like or listen to? I wouldn't know the first thing of trends in trance music. As someone with classical training, I could judge the musicality of it but would that mean it's a great trance song? Probably not. Unless you make dance/house/club music, take losing with a grain of salt. As someone also outside of dance/house/club (industrial for me) I feel more comfortable being grouped with your track Luke Satin, then the top 10. I listened to over close to 350 of the entries I think just to see what others were doing.
