new project screen in ezg4 wont load

Hi, I have recently purchased EZG4 and transfered some of my old projects but I cant get the new project screen to work. It starts to open and then appears to get stuck with no options available for continuing. I have tried running as administrator and in compatability mode but no joy.

running windows 7 ultimate

any help in this matter would be most appreciated
