My attempts to find a way to naturally and faithfully recreate a piano with harmour just failed flat out even after putting tons of time into it. Today, I figured I would just fall back on a sampled piano for detail, but a synth as a backup to compensate for the limitations of samples per note.

It turns out pretty comparable to the truepianos demo that I've been comparing it to. Not quite perfect, but its a satisfying sound, and that's what matters.

I also did a neat thing with 3XOSC producing ambient noise, controlling its level by a side-chain and Fruity Limiter.

Listen:
Glossy Piano.mp3 (4.72 MiB) Downloaded 2055 times I wanted to create a natural and pleasing piano in FL studio using only built in Generators and effects. I'm happy with it, and will probably tweak it a tad more before being completely happy with it, but I do want to share this in hope that Gol / image-line produce a piano modeller similar to modart pianoteq or 4front truepianos. I made this instrument mainly because I would rather spend my money on acoustical treatment in my studio or another fun gadget... GADGETS FTW. Well, enjoy.

IF YOU DOWNLOAD, PLEASE COMMENT :) I hate when I see like 300 downloads, and no comments. Just say "oh cool man, its nifty and stuff, I'll use it here or there" or "Oh, I think it sucks or whatever" C'mon, 20 seconds of your time.... Ah! I knew you would come around!

EDIT:
Holy smokes, it actually sounds great with the Skyrim theme, Woot.
