I recently got a new computer. I upgraded from an Intel Core 2 Duo processor to an Intel Core i5 processor. I got an ungraded graphics card and a much higher screen resolution, as well as more RAM. I've backed up every project I've made in both FL Studio 10 and Reason 6. When installing FL Studio onto my new computer, the installer just stopped working around the last few steps, so I downloaded the installer online and installed the program successfully. Of course, the problem here is that I can't run ReWire anymore. This issue isn't even limited to a specific project. I can run FL Studio 10 and Reason 6 independently without problems, but when I click the "show panel" button in ReWire, I get a message saying "FL Studio engine launcher has stopped working" before Reason gives me an error insinuating that I didn't install Reason properly (even though I have - FIVE TIMES). I've installed the 32 bit version of Reason, so that isn't a problem. In fact, I can't even run the Reset Settings application under the Advanced folder in my Image-Line program folder. It says "Installation failed! Please make sure that you logged in as administrator, and reinstall the application." I know for a fact that I'm on my administrator account, and I installed FL Studio multiple times already. I've done hours of lurking and I'm officially out of options.
I just want to write some songs, man. Any help is greatly appreciated. The tech guy at my school is baffled.
