Auvic Remix Contest Finalists!
Before I write anything about the winners, I'd like to personally thank all the contestants for entering. Special thanks to the Image-Line staff for sponsoring the contest! Also, I'd like to thank Caroline. Working with her with many of my projects, those tedious recording sessions were worth it.
For the top three finalists, I've decided to let you guys decide. It was a bit difficult for me to decide the winners chronologically; additionally, I felt like I was ending the contest a bit prematurely. Winners are not important to me, but they are to you.
Without further ado, here are the finalists. Also, Caroline says hi to everyone.
FINALISTS! (vote for your favorite remix here!)
AuraQualic (6)
What impressed me the most was AuraQualic's ability to stylistically redefine an expected, ambient vibe Caroline's voice naturally calls for into the trance sub-genre. The kick, the bass, the atmosphere, the mix; everything is perfect. Personally, my favorite bit was the vocal chops, change of pace, and chord progression around 2:00. Wouldn't Caroline be impressed.
Generdyn (110)
Starting off the remix off with rays of catchy, melodic bells and powerful chords, Generdyn caught my attention with a very Madeon-influenced vibe with powerful chords. And to answer your question, Generdyn, no it's not exactly complextro, but who cares? It's a great remix. My favorite part is probably all of it.
Lamar3m (84)
Plucks, chip arps, bass arps; the notes and chords used with these techniques really caught my attention. The chord progression really impressed me as it fit well with Caroline's vocal melody. This is one particular song I can't explain in detail why I love it. It just speaks for itself. My favorite part is 2:44.
Other Recommended Remixes
It's Clipping (2)
Super catchy. This song is pretty sick.
Adriz Remix (21)
3:09. That drop is fantastic.
Dyrdi Remix (29)
What I love is the chord progression; really gives me that Romania feel.
Ova9000 Remix (62)
Awesome song. Only thing I couldn't adjust my likeness to was the breakdowns and build-ups. The rest was pretty amazing.
Skizye Remix (68)
A sweet electro take. Chord progression really caught me.
Byngsies (87)
Amazing Newtone usage on Caroline's vocal melody. Catchy song. My favorite part is 2:35.
LYRA Remix (102)
Just listen. Amazing take on the song.
Anticipated Frequently Asked Question:
My remix deserved to win and was obviously one of the top 3; why didn't I win?

----original post----
The original song is called 'Storm Synthesis,' featuring a good friend of mine, Caroline Kim. You'll be getting the acapella. The only reason why I don't want to release the stems of the song is that I want the contestants to create their sounds originally. Most of the remix contest entries I've heard uses the stem sounds too close to the original. I want to avoid that.
Here's the original song.

Post your entries here. Questions. Improvements...etc.
Also...the acapella wasn't recorded in a studio or whatever. Just in my room. With a snowball. With the best quality I could make it. Sorry about that.
And...I posted this on Looptalk because, let's face it, nobody looks at the 'contests' section of the forum. Ever. If this must be moved, I won't object (what choice do I have anyway).

Lyrics:
I can feel far away,
and I can't rest my mind
what happened so fast so quick.
I can feel the melodies,
that takes away all the fears,
of life what it used to be.
And so if you could would you leave all you have behind?
We're in a storm, in a storm, all the symphonies....
Let the music play, let is soothe, let it blow away.
We're in a storm, in a storm, in a storm.
