Another project for a film scoring class, also this is also a new for my professional music portfolio. The clip we had to do music for did not have music originally. This is 100% my own composition. Enjoy!
Some compositional notes:
First off I had to mark down each "hit-point" to highlight certain things in the scene. Changing time signatures and using certain instrumental textures effectively will help make the music supplement the film without being overly distracting. I combined ancient roman drums with some other ethnic percussion to fit the time period and the overall feel of the scene. Using mostly dark chordscales such as altered minor and phrygian modes help to emphasize not only the setting of the scene but the time period as well.
If any of you have questions and/or comments about this track production and compositional wise please don't hesitate to post in this topic! Thanks!
