10.5 beta Question

I am totally loving Maschine Mikro with FL Studio. My only question is in performance mode when you get your all your clips loaded before the start marker How can compose a melody after the start marker. Like how you would compose a song normally in FL and but have your clips setup for maschine mikro. So basically be able to do a live performance over a pre composed piece. Is this possible? Is there something i am missing? I am a noob yes. But i Think this would be very cool to do.
