FPC Pad Trigger Question

OK, I looked at the help file and played around with things, mostly envelopes, but can't find what I am looking for. Is it possible to trigger a sample with a pad, and have that sample stop when you let go of the pad? Similar to a keyboard response with release set to 0. I think this is possible, but I can't do it. Can anyone help me?
