fl studio only plays one note

when im on the piano roll i make two note togther it only makes the one i first put down and when i make a longer note and put notes inbetween the long note it just cuts the long note off even tho it still playing and when the other notes are finished and the long note is still going theres no sound comeing from the long note can any one help?
