I know this has probably been asked before and i have done a search for it but the pages went on and on with forum posts not really anything to do with what i want.

Basically i know this much about hardware, if you buy cheap, you get cheap and a cheap sound. However i am looking for a mic to do voice samples. Nothing lengthy (i'm no singer).
I have looked around but a lot of them are very expensive.

My question is basically can i get a decent mic without spending £500+?

I am sure that i saw somewhere that there was a sennheiser that was basically the one to have but i might be wrong.

Anyone got any suggestions on a good quality mic but not too pricey?
