Deleting pattern shortcut key

Why does the shortcut (Shift+Ctrl+Del ) randomly disappear from FLS12's pattern drop down menu? It shows up randomly and goes away randomly. I cannot make any sense of it. And when it is gone so does the functionality of the Shift+Ctrl+Del command when hit on the keyboard.
