First and foremost let me run down the specifications before I get to the question. I am currently running FL20 (latest version) on an HP laptop with 16GB ram, 2TB hybrid ssd, 4 cores, etc.
For my audio unit I am using a Universal Audio: Apollo Twin.
Buffer size at maximum length (as well as triple buffer, although it does not seem to help too much) of 2048 with multithread gen/mix on.
44100hz sessions. Now with that out of the way, question is, why do I keep getting high cpu loads that lead to pops, clicks or freezes?
This mainly happens not only when using more than one or two instances of Arturia synthesizers, but also with some patches from FLEX. This overall leaves me having to print and reprint to save cpu during work.
Not quite sure what It could be, so anyone with helpful input on the potential issue is warmly welcomed.
