Recording Audio

Hello.

I record my vocals in the SAME room that I listen back in. (bedroom studio)

With that being said I have a workflow problem that I want to fix.

If I'm recording multiple takes and then listening back through the monitors directly after, I need to turn off my mic preamp each time so that there is no feedback. This is so tedious and time consuming to have to constantly disable the preamp in the mixer window after each take. Is there a work around for this?

Why can't it be as easy as turning off the record arm button and that would disable the preamp so there's no feedback?

The screenshot I included shows what I have to do to disarm the preamp after every single take so that there's no feedback through the monitors.

Thank you
