Definitely. It's part of what keeps some of us logging onto forums and finding/posting other fun stuff here, too.
I'll confess to being somewhat addicted to checking it, even There's a certain other DAW company that does effectively the same via public pre-releases, and I constantly check their whatsnew files as well.
One thing I know for sure: it's better to be addicted to checking upcoming DAW features (and DAW forums in general) than doomscrolling on social media.
