Magic Mouse Issue

Is there a way to go back to hovering over the Channel Rack Window header and using the scrollwheel to scroll thru and/or create new patterns? The scroll wheel now only moves the pattern box around. Creating a new pattern has now become an extra hassle with having to go up to the header to press the + and THEN the check mark. Big wrench in workflow.
