I did a search of the forum to see if my question had been asked before but I didn't find exactly what I was looking for (so apologies if it has been).
I would like to take a musical pattern and randomize the pitch of the notes within the pattern (say within a particular key and scale) but NOT affect the length or order of the notes.
Say, for example, that I audio record a line of poetry and then convert it to midi giving me a certain pattern of notes (which correspond to spoken words). I would like to vary/randomize the pitch of those notes but leave the length and order of the notes as they are (unchanged).
Is it possible in FL Studio to limit the randomization to ONLY the pitch of the notes?
From what I can see, the Randomizer tool randomizes everything - pitch, length, and order of notes.
Thanks for any help or suggestions.
