Does FL record during countdown?

I'm used to recording in ableton and the way it works there is that the DAW records audio in the background during the countdown duration before the 'take' begins.
And you can stretch the clip out from the left to retrieve it. It's helpful when recording vocals because you tend to start singing a few milliseconds before the first beat.
Right now I just turn off the countdown and start recording 2 bars early. But is there a better way to do it?
