hey.
I've been doing some learning about how PCM audio works and how it gets implemented in .wav files via the microsoft riff specification.
- are there resources where I can learn more about how individual pieces of data in a wav file are stored in the riff format?
- for example, are individual samples of a wave file stored in some way? do they have individual values/data similar to how pixels might in an image file?
- Can those pieces of data be accessed from some sort of hex editor and what kinds of things are you able to do to manipulate wav data when you are accessing the actual bits that make up that file?
