Ideal Computer

If one was to buy a computer specifically to run the latest version of FL Studio, then what kind of specs would be ideal?
What would be the optimum, ram, Speed. cores etc. without buying features that would be overkill or things FL Studio wouldn't necessarily need?
Keeping in mind the use of several 3rd party VST's too but those would probably reside in a very large external drive.

Inquiring minds want to know.
Thanks in advance.
