1st: I want to know how to make my piano (not necessarily FL Keys) sound much more sparer and lo-fi. I'm kind of aiming for it to sound like the entire song was recorded on a tape recorder or something cheap like that (as exemplified here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EWFC2PEbwCk). I think you can use some of the effects generators available in the mixer to achieve a sound like this, but I'm not sure which. Help would be appreciated.
The second question I have is a bit more technical but here it is anyways: In FL when I'm running it, I often find that even though I am only using 3 or 4 channels, my CPU load will be hovering around 90%, even when FL isn't playing anything. This makes it extremely hard to play patterns and beats because of the severe lag. Is there anyway to reduce the CPU load so I can play my music without that lag?
