Not sure if I'm in the right area, but maybe one of you can help...
My musical collaborator has just bought himself a new Hammond XK1. He wants to buy a second keyboard to use with it as a MIDI controller. Now Jim doesn't use computers...What he wants to do is link the 2nd keyboard to the XK1 to work it just like a lower manual keyboard. He needs the new keyboard to have 61 keys and have as little amount of buttons behind the keys. It also needs to be able to produce MIDI signals without computer reliance, rather than via a computer or USB interface.
Jim has suggested a few names, although they don't mean a huge amount to me, I'm more into the songwriting & vocal side of the partnership, but I'm the one with the (albeit limited) computer knowledge.
The names he mentioned are Korg K Series, Keystation 61ES, & M-Audio.
