Hey I've been trying to figure out the Fruity Vocoder in FL 7 because in the sample project "Hanging On" by Blake Reary it says he vocoded his voice and rendered it to audio clip. I know the basics with the Vocoder, but I can't get the effect i'm going for.
My question is, how exactly did he vocode his voice to get it sounding the way it does. I've been told it was just a simple vocode with a synth line as the carrier, and the vocals as the modulator (or maybe its the other way around) but it definetly doesn't sound like it was vocoded to a synth line. So am I missing something here? is there a way to just put the Fruity Vocoder on the mixer slot and get the same effect? Or what?
I'd really appreciate any help in this matter...I can't do much on my next song without the vocoded vocals...So if you have any insight for me I'd really appreciate it. Thanks.
