Eventually (in some futur FL versions), I even think that the Channel Rack could completely disappear, but without removing the step seq/mini piano roll functions.
Like this (mock-up):
Playlist and pattern become~merged into one and the same thing: 999 possible "playlist~patterns"!
Each can be included in another!
And we have only to choose a one particular playlist in (any of the 999) which serves~become as "Master playlist" to create the song! Moreover, it gives us the possibility to create several versions of song, several "master playlist", complex combinations, etc.
FL would become the most powerful (and easy to use) DAW ever!
This would solve several problems since in this way, FL could be used as much as a generalist DAW (track by track) and/or as a DAW with pattern and sequencer. It's the user who decides if he uses a single play list rigidly and statically, such as "Cubase ~ Pro Tools" or with several "play list ~ patterns", such as FL, etc.
This is probably number one on my wishlist It would become so much simpler and faster to create music.
Can anyone confirm is this option is being looked into? I know theres alot of people who like it the way it is and maybe it wouldnt be possible to add an option to choose from the current workflow and this but it would be in my opinion one of the best changes that could be made.
