Well, "forget" implies that he intended to and messed up somewhere. To me it's more about the convenience or fluidity than forgiveness though. If it inserted a clip of a beat or measure length at the playback marker instead of requiring a selection, you eliminate having to deselect after and also make it so that in many cases you can find the spot with a few hits of / or * or you may even already be in the right place.
I know it probably sounds super insignificant...and it is! But I think there's a cumulative effect with things like this, if you tighten up all the little things like this, not being able to copy/cut/paste in one keystroke when you right click generators anymore, an option to link+sync the mixer and channel rack like other DAWs so you don't have to manually route and keep up on renaming things...all the little things that individually are easy to brush off as "so what it takes literally one or two extra clicks or seconds" add up to a big impact on the feel of the software.
