"Basic" programming for FLS - idea

Way back when, Dr. T's KCS had a simple programming language for programming note and controller info to create midi patterns. It was a fun. Sonar also had a similar thing, but it never really caught on either. Ableton has Max, and I haven't played with that, though I've got a Lite Version. I'm thinking something that reads a text script and creates/modifies a midi target. I realize FLS would do this entirely differently with it's internal handling. It also might be useful even if only within Patcher. I'm not sure how much I'd actually play with it these days, but it extends the somewhat limited functionality of the TrueBasic paradigm. And users can build their own simple tools now that SMaker is gone.There's the Linux tool too, but ?? Even something as basic as a C-64 Basic tool would be really nice. Particularly with audio updates.
