New Tone Audio Clip Length

I'm using FL 20, and this is my first time using Newtone. I'm able to bring an audio clip into New Tone without a problem.

The problem I can't solve is: On the playlist the audio sample was trimmed down from a vox track that was about 3 minutes long to about 20 seconds long cause that's all I need from it . That part is fine; But when I bring it into New Tone, the whole 3 minute clip comes in, not just the 20 second part I want from the playlist. How do I bring in only the part I want from the playlist?

Also, I don't see the green line playing through New tone to show me where I'm at. How do I activate it?
