First, it required remembering various types of codes which seemed to have nothing to do with the formulas themselves. The text replacement also does not work in a formula controller as far as I can tell, which takes away a lot of the possible useful applications. I rarely use complex formulas in the standard link to controller dialog, however I often develop rather complicated formulas in the formula controllers in patcher.
It might be nice if there was a version which was simply a reference... a list of the actual formulas, usable manually as we see fit, completely without the text replacement.
The whole point of that tool is to not have to know math it replaces a short code for a formula. You should read the documentation something you obviously skipped to do. There is documentation you can ether browse or you can open the help gui with shift+alt+z
The tool is aimed at the remote control settings window and a small part of the tool at the type in value window you have when typing in values for nodes in automation clips or on native knobs.
The formula controller has nothing to do with it, this is the other side of formulas in fl studio.
There is over 3.7 million pre made formulas in this tool a list is never gonna happen or even be helpful see the help for group images & group principles or use the legend as a reference, once you know the only reference you need.
050075 gives me 50%+Input*(75%-50%)
075050 gives me 75%+Input*(50%-75%)
hwsin025080 gives me a sine starting half way with a range of 25% to 80 25%+((sin(Input*2*pi))*0.5+0.5)*(80%-25%)
type this reversed hwsin080025 and you get the inversion very simple
5 saws while the clip goes from 20 to 80
saw05020080 gives 20%+((Input*0.5+0.25*(Frac(Input*5.875+0.001)-0.001)*1.142857142857143) * 1.33)*(80%-20%)
saw05080020 gives 80%+((Input*0.5+0.25*(Frac(Input*5.875+0.001)-0.001)*1.142857142857143) * 1.33)*(20%-80%)
if i want on a knob/clip that has -24 0 +24 range it to be limited to lets say -3 to +12 i type /48 (a knob divided by 48) 2 (to say it goes in 2 ways) and then -3+12 so: /482-3+12 and that will give you 1/48*21+Input*+1/48*15 and that gives you the range for -3 to +12
reversed /482+12-3 gives you 1/48*36-Input*+1/48*15 and so are there more kno divisions in here i just picked the one for -24 0 +24 as an example but there are more divisions in there
for example a knob/clip with range -36 0 +36 i would type /722 and then the range i want
on a knob going from 0 to 24 i would type /241 and then my range
while a knob going from -12 0 +12 i would have to start with /242 then my range
all of them have a logic to them but there are groups that are hard to explain therefor the help gui and a video for each group in the playlist and a legend as quick reference
