Automated Fader external mixer

Im trying to figure out how to automate using my faderport 8. Every time I reset to the beginning of the song my faders on the physical controller reset to a certain position. On cubase there is a read/write function that I cant seem to find on FLst20. To be clear, I'm trying to automate the faders on the faderport 8 and not on the timeline tracks. The faderport 8 faders move but there doesnt seem to be a rhyme or reason to it. I want to delete the current automation on the mixer itself and re-write it.
