How do you make the frequency dampen in an envelope?

Just in general, you have the option to right-click on a control point in an envelope and set it to wave or pulse or stairs or etc. However, what I want is for the frequency of a wave envelope to smoothly transition from a slow frequency to a fast frequency. Needless to say this would be incredibly time consuming if I had to do it manually, surely there is a way FL studio can handle it. If the tension on a wave automation clip could be itself automated, that would be an alternative.
