Send MIDI notes to to Patcher instance in mixer

I'm trying to make a volume shaper that ducks when a MIDI note arrives at its input. There are various ways to do this in FL but I would like to have a 'self-contained' Patcher preset that I can just drop in the mixer so I don't have to set it up manually each time, using Fruity Envelope Controller and Fruity Balance. Fruity Envelope controller needs MIDI note input to trigger envelopes. With third party VSTs I can use MIDI out to send MIDI to the plugin but with built-in plugins there is no 'VST Wrapper Settings' tab so I'm kinda stuck.

So basically I need to get MIDI notes from the channel rack routed to the mixer—any advice welcome, thanks!
