Hi guys! Thought I'd post this here since most people use looptalk (but the mods could decide to move it back at their discretion >.>)
Any experienced neuro bass designers, I need your help!
So, after watching a few How To Bass videos by Seamless a couple years back and using a Neuro Bass Design Theory pic I found on Reddit, I've learnt how to Neuro, with the whole movement, modulation fx and distortion dealio. However, with the release of KOAN Sound's Polychrome, I find myself unable to pull off the moist bass goodness as explained in this comment on their Reddit AMA thread, as heard in the example below:
I tried parallel LP/BP/HP filters (which appears to be what they're talking about), trying to replicate their recent bass sound, but it didn't come out like I wanted it to... so I limited the movement of the bands, and this is what came out, though there doesn't seem to be much of a difference at this point:
