Hi guys,
I just bought my first (analogue) hardware synth, a Behringer Model D. I'm trying to get it working with FL Studio but can't seem to figure it out. Yes, I tried the manual, FL's manual and more than a dozen YouTube videos, but they seem to want different things in terms of setup.
Here's what I have:
- a laptop;
- a Steinberg UR22mkII audio interface, connected via USB to my laptop. My headphones are plugged in to this unit (obviously);
- a Novation LaunchKey Mini MIDI controller;
- the Behringer Model D synth;
- a bunch of MIDI cables;
- a USB cable, and;
- patch cables that I guess I could also use to transfer the output of the synth to the audio interface (they fit in the synth's output and the interface's line in).
What I want:
I want to connect the model D, either via the audio interface or directly using USB, to the laptop, so that I can play notes with FL studio (both by using the piano roll and using the Launchkey) and hear the sound of the synth in my headphones (so out of the interface, like the rest of the sounds coming from FL). How do I do this?
I'm sorry for the noob question. I have a fair bit of experience working with FL, but none at all with setting up external devices. And I somehow couldn't find an answer elsewhere...
Thanks! Happy producing during those quarantine days.
