Discovered this today by playing around with different ideas, load yourself a 'FL Studio VSTI' as either a channel or in patcher on a mixer. Now enable the metronome only in the second slave FL Studio and now it plays in your main master FL as its synced. Now i can happily turn down my metronome without turning down my sample previews or Visa versa.
This trick can also be used to play elements from one project in another and also it allows you in a roundabout way to have access to both performance and standard playlist arrangements in the one project.
