Just make a new 64-bit Fruity Soundfont Player already (Directwave sucks, boo!)

Soundfonts are still used today - especially in hiphop production. The best way to use SF2's was previously with Fruity Soundfont Player, but it is no longer compatible with modern 64-bit versions of FL Studio.

It would be amazing (and overdue IMO) if the FL dev team could just remake the Fruity Soundfont Player and it's basic functionality for 64-bit FL Studio. The original was great in that it was simple, with no nonsense functionality.

I know the source code for the Fruity Soundfont Player is missing and thats why it hasnt been recompiled for modern 64-bit versions of FL Studio, but it seems that all the alternative soundfont player options are either buggy or annoying to use.

I've tried the following alternatives to Fruity SF Player, my thoughts on them are below:

directwave
- can import sf2 files but sometimes with velocity and other issues
- directwave's volume on channel rack does not change volume of any loaded patches (very dumb)
- have to manually reset the volume of any patches you load via the plugin's master volume every time you load one (very dumb)
- is too complex and annoying to use, not a good alternative

juicysfplugin
- patch selection and volume change is buggy
- has only rudimentary features that dont work very well

sforzando
- converts SF2 files to SFZ files on load
- does not actually play SF2 files
- does not compare to the simplicity of Fruity SF Player
- annoying to use

It's kind of lame that the support for Fruity Soundfont player was lost due to the source code being missing(what can you do), but we still havent got a proper replacement after all this time. Just saying.
