Audio clip VS sampler (and time knob)

Hello,
I am working for the first time with only samples.
I record something change it in Edison and when done I "send them to the playlist"

But then I noticed that there is a difference in the option between my audio clip and my sampler.
I wonder if I can move from one to another easily.

Also all of my audio clip had the "time" knob turned very very little so I couldn't play different note/pitch on my keyboard. Is it intentional to be like this ?
