Improve FL Patcher's snap to grid?

I know you can select 10, 20 or 30px and that's good and all but when trying to adjust the control sizes or positions you have to be REALLY careful not to mess it up by moving just a teeny tiny bit too much.
And clicking "Align" controls does only seem to affect the control origin positions but not the sizes. Furthermore it doesn't use the nearest grid point but seems to round down the position, making some controls "jump" to a totally different location.
Am I using it wrong or could we get that one improved?
Or is there maybe an external tool to do this.
