Right click midi learn doesn't work in Massive/Kontakt, but

When I right click on any parameter in any VST (tried Massive, Pianoteq, Play and Kontakt) and then change CC on my midi controller (Komplete Kontrol S61 and Akai LPK Mini Play) it doesn't get assigned. Looking into "Settings -> Debug" I see the midi events being fired with a "Not handled" description.

If I go to "Browser - Current project -> Generators -> Kontakt" (or any other) I can see all of the parameters there, and when I right click on them and select "Link Controller" and change any CC it gets assigned immediately.

Is there any problem in my setup, or is this how things are supposed to work with VST plugins? I also noticed that the Expression and Mod wheel midi events aren't bound in any of the VST plugins by default.

I'm using FL Studio 20.7.2 on Windows 10.
