Special gestures in detached windows

I've noticed that when piano roll and playlist are detached, some of the "Click-and-hold & special gesture functions" doesn't work. I'm talking about "Mouse wheel tools: Change tools by holding right click and rolling the wheel." and "Mouse wheel velocity: Use mouse wheel while holding notes to change velocity." features. The rest of the special gestures works perfectly fine.

Is it some bug or does it have to be that way?
