QUESTION regarding using FL without the Channel Rack

Hey guys,

I am trying a new approach in using FL without the Channel Rack, in order to maximise screen work space.

For my standard template, I have the Channel Rack set up with the standard things I use, linked to the Playlist and Mixer tracks, but I am going to attempt to access the generators/synths, Piano Rolls, and samplers directly through the Playlist. This way I should be able to close the Channel Rack, and split the screen between Mixer and Playlist, and occasionally Piano Roll.

Does anyone else do this? Does anyone foresee problems I may run into?

One problem I have run into already is in ADDING generators via the Track Mode menu in the Playlist. Any new generator added is automatically routed to the next free Mixer track, which messes up my arranged Mixer tracks (colours, groupings, spare place holder tracks ready for ME to select what is routed etc.). Is there a way to stop this from happening, so that any new generator added via the Playlist only gets automatically routed to the Master mixer track?

Thanks for your time!
