Crazy UI lag with Neutron3

Hi,
I am running FL 20 (latest update) on my Macbook Pro (2020 i5, 16gb ram). When running iZotope Neutron3, the UI becomes super slow: the framerate just drops for everything, Neutron plugin window as well as the main FL window (mixer, playlist, everything) update slowly. The CPU meter hovers between 50-60.
I am unable to figure out the solution for this issue. Any tips would be appreciated.
