Performance Mode

I cant find a way to ask "search" bar for complex question. Any results miss my needs.

I create some clips/patterns which are loops of notes to controll VST instruments. Then I go to Performance mode. Press record. From my maschineJam i trigger clips that i want at the time. Everything works. But when i play with another VST instrument FL does not record any notes to new pattern.

Is there any way to record new pattern as lead with performance mode in background(some thing like Live arrangment is recorded in background while operating with clips view).
