Volume automation not recognised after edits to track

Hi
After I edited the tracks in edison and transfered it ck to the playlist, the volume automations don't seem to work. It does exist and I can see the automa curves however it does not affect the volume, when I right click the top left of the volume automation, the source channel is still correctly selected. Kindly assist. Not sure what I did wrong.
