Midi Tempo Map Not Opening Correctly

I need to create a midi tempo map. I have tried several ways of exporting the tempo map but without any luck. The tempo map opens fine in FL Studio but when opened in Pro Tools (which is what the engineer will use to record the session), the tempo and or time signatures do not transfer over. Does anyone know how to get a midi tempo map to open in pro tools, with actual tempo and meter changes. I have tired the following:

1) File / Export / Midi / enabled "save tempo information" & "playlist markers" (for the time signatures, since I have meter changes)
- I open the midi file in pro tools and no tempo or meters appear. I press play and no tempo change occurs


2) Open the piano roll of any instrument / File / Export as midi
- The time signatures appear but no tempo information. I press play to see if the tempo was at least embedded in the midi and no.


3) Tools / Macros / Prepare for midi export
- The midi notes appear but no other information. No time signatures or tempo changes.
