Automation recording with MIDI controllers not working correctly for some things

I've got a Novation Launchkey that I'm using right now, and I have linked a few of the knobs on it to control a filter in Parametric EQ 2. When I try to record the automation events into a new pattern, they seem to only have an ON/OFF state, not recording all of the values. When I move the filter manually with my mouse, it works just fine, but not with the knobs. Here is a video of the problem I'm having. Anyone know what's going on here, and how to fix it?
