How to view both channels of an audio file in the playlist

I once knew how to do this but I have forgot it, I know its very simple, but what I need to know how to do again is to be able to see both the left and right channels of an audio clip or file when I drag it into the playlist, by default it shows one stream of audio as if both left and right are merged, but I want to be able to view both left and right channels, to see where any panning has been done, etc. You guys have to know what Im talking about its the same as what you see by default only you get double so you see the waveform and then another identical one if both channels are the same in the playlist editor, I tried finding it online on youtube again and ive failed to find it so im sure Scott or someone here has to know, thanks guys, Peace
