Stop sample from stretching with tempo change

So I'm doing a project that involves midi, and me actually playing instruments, and whenever I go and drop the recording into the playlist, it automatically resizes the clip every time I cross the tempo change that's in the song, is there any way to turn this off so that it just ignores the project tempo and plays the clip straight through?
