Kill overlapping reverb of looped sample without consolidating the wet one

Greetings fellow musicians,

I've created a simple pad sound out of an 8 bar sample via Fruity Convolver. Being a reverb effect it lasts longer than the original 8 bars, which is a problem when the pad should start all over again right behind the first one without overlapping reverbs. How do I kill the reverb after those 8 bars? I've tried to duplicate the sample and route each to two different channels and switch one off and one on after those 8 bars, but this becomes quite cumbersome if I want to add more automated effects to them like Grossbeat.

Last to say I can't just consolidate the "convolved" sample and cut anything behind 8 bars out due to the rules of this month's User Monthly Contest ;)

Thanks in advance :D
