Edit Events - Last Tweaked

Hi Guys,

This might be a super stupid question but I cant seem to explain it to myself, so I'm hoping someone can give me the low down on this.

I'm loading up a 3rd party vst, wiggling the cutoff and selecting edit events in piano roll, I'm then drawing in some modulation but it does not effect the parameter in the 3rd party synth... Its a real shame. Is this the case for all 3rd party plugins or am I missing something? I would really love to be able to edit parameters for 3rd party synths in the piano roll...
