HOW TO MAKE A PATTERN NOT MOVE

So most of the time I use the "(none)" option under the snap feature, but it can get irritating when you accidentally move a pattern a 10th of a centimeter over when it was not your intention at all. Is there a way to make sure that a pattern does not move regardless of the snap feature's setting?
